~~ Ⓐ ℟ȶ℮

there's plenty of creativity here
but those who know me
know I like edgy and challenging
things that make me go oOo
this expo with 100's of stands
had something for everyone
including me
here's my picks ~

this colour palette and light
by Pierre Riollet

carnaval de rio, 1922
by Sonia Delauney
still fresh and moderne
like mirrors of the soul
Da Vinci advised artists to stare for a long time
at old walls in order to find in them
familiar shapes to stimulate imagination
yes that's lego graffiti
both by Lenz
lots of 3 dimensional art
and I love the colour palette and form
by Swiz
simple strokes like Dior sketches

folded paper and paint
by Laetitia Vidal
beautiful girls
best in show for me
metal lingerie
plenty of playful
crazy stands
hologram 3d art is back
there was so much more
until the next expo

ȭỠõ thirty years later

creatives gravitate here
Dali loved Perpignan
at 4.21pm on August 27 1965
alerted to its aura by a bright
shining light and a revelation in which
"everything become overpoweringly evident"
he declared the lobby of the station
the centre of the universe

can't say I've been a fan of his art
but the man
unruly and unconventional
self indulgent and amusing
to mark the 30th anniversary
of his death
an homage to Dali
with Francoise Hardy
by Jean-Marie Perier
hands 1977
by Pierre Boulat
hypercubicus 1953
by Francesc Catala Roca
egg shaped hat
by Postius
chemins de fer francais
perhaps Perpignan's location
invites many to gather there
creating a unique energy
whatever it is
I love it

)))) know me like waves know shores

when you've lived by the seaside
all your life
it's in you

yes I have a beautiful lake close by
the River L'Hers flows opposite my house
and on my walks
mais
I miss that salty sea air
the endless horizon
boats
seagulls
waves
oh yes waves
that lightheaded feeling
when your nose is full of ozone
walking on sand
barefoot
the Med
and mountains
oh la
searching for seashells
sitting on the sand
just watching
I ran to the shore
the water was cool
it felt so goooood

I need the sea because it teaches me.
I don’t know if I learn music or awareness,
if it’s a single wave or its vast existence,
or only its harsh voice or its shining
suggestion of fishes and ships.
The fact is that until I fall asleep,
in some magnetic way I move in
the university of the waves.~ Pablo Neruda

<<<<< these days

one of those crazy conversations
you
have in the wee small hours
after too many glasses of wine
life, art, religion, science
conspiracy theories
and timelines

today the 4th February
I have been on this Earth for
20,000 days
