for the last 6 months or so

it's been all about crochet

for a project that makes blankets for the

homeless {warm heart crochet}

cover art for a future cd {USRNM} 

a moroccan inspired gift

a birthday blanket

ice-cream colours for a sweet baby girl

bright doilies 

and a beach hut blanket for Yvie

who I am teaching to crochet :-)

I've enough blankets and throws at home

but it doesn't stop me having this on my hook

or this beautiful 'crochet along'

I decided to make a square blanket

instead of the usual smaller granny squares joined together 

each colour a day

different stitches

rust the colour of iron under the Pier

blue sky daydreaming

pale pink the colour of cheeks in the rain

I might have to start another!

rain rain so much rain

light the wood stove

put the kettle on

4 chain, slip stitch

3 double crochet into the space

for a beautiful project

sharing the crochet love

living is like crocheting patterns to someone else's design

but while one works

one's thoughts are free 

and as the ivory hook dives in and out amongst the wool

all the enchanted princes that ever existed

are free to stroll through their parks
