it has rained every single day in January

 but on Sunday the sky was big

so we drove to Bradwell-on-Sea

 St Peter on the Wall is the 19th oldest chapel in England

the cockle spit beyond was alive with winter birds

the next day we checked the tides

and walked under Southend Pier

the longest pleasure pier in the world

it's had a rough time in it's life

creaking but still standing
